January 11, 2021]<\/strong> The Rhizome Center for Migrants (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhizomecenter.org\">www.rhizomecenter.org<\/a>) is excited to announce our newest team member, C\u00e9sar Miguel Rivera Vega Magall\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u00e9sar joins the organization as our Mexico Advocacy Fellow. As a formerly undocumented immigrant rights advocate in California, he worked on various campaigns, including #Not1More, the implementation of drivers licenses for the undocumented community, and reform of electoral laws to grant political opportunities to inland California\u2019s Latinx and Black communities. After 10 years of organizing in the United States, he is eager to support positive change in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the combined administrations of President Trump and President Obama, we have endured 12 years of mass deportations and border apprehensions. The needs of returning and repatriated immigrants have never been greater. We are thrilled that C\u00e9sar is joining us now and look forward to utilizing and developing his skills for the benefit of the deported and returned communities in Western Mexico.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Guadalajara, Jal.
